Have you been able to run the program yet? The line that you posted is the GPS looking for the sats. If you are inside you will have to go outside. A build or materials can block the sat signals.

i installed your app on my device.. but it have me this message for long time and it doesn't disappear: ----------------------------------------- TestGPSFile ServiceState: On DeviceState: Starting Up ------------------------------------------- My google map app is working well which mean my GPS chip is correctly installed integrated..
I want to see lat/long....... on my mobile with a trial code please.. because i am doing a project where i will take the output GPS numbers and send them via XML file to a website where i will display the mobile location on a map.

I have included the source and it will let you adapt it to your needs if you do not mind learning. I would expect to use a remote connection method. Codeproject has many fine examples of different code.

Hi, thanks for posting the app. I was looking for something simple like this. I am in Search & Rescue and this would come in handy. The only thing that would limit me is my service, I believe, but I would have to try it. Thanks again!

There should not be service problems from any where in the world. As long as you receive the satellites signals, there is no limit of location. I do have problems when I am inside a building.

Hey could you give me the link you were talking about? and are you using the uscellular 6800? I have tried the sprint update and it didnt work on my phone. uscellular didnt have a ROM update.

Cool I got that downloaded and installed the cab file. do I need to do anything else, enable anything? open com ports or stuff like that? When I turn on my GPS is says ServiceState:on and DeviceState: Strating up. but thats it. I tried using google maps and it says can find satalights. Any Idea? Can you help?
