The 8125 is capable of receiving and opening email attachments. By default, a send/receive on the device will not download the attachment. Email attachments must be downloaded separately from the actual message.

1. Browse to and open the e-mail that contains the attachment
   • The attachment will have a generic blank icon next to the file name.
2. With the stylus, tap the attachment file name
   • A message saying the message will be downloaded on the next send/receive will appear under the file name.
3. Tap Menu, and select Send/Receive
   • During this process you may notice arrows moving around the GPRS icon at the top of the screen
4. When the send/receive is complete, the icon next to the file will change according to the file extension. Tap the attachment again to open it

The attachment will automatically open with the necessary viewer such as Word Mobile






If you synchronize directly with an Exchange Server and receive a lot of email attachments and would like to have them automatically downloaded to your 8125 follow the steps below

1. Start > Programs > ActiveSync
2. Menu > Configure Server
3. Tap Next > Next to advance through the setup
4. Highlight E-mail and tap Settings
5. Tap the Include file attachments box
• To specify a maximum size of attachment, tap the Only if smaller than box and set a limit in KB. This means that only attachments smaller than the specified limit will be automatically downloaded
6. Tap OK to save the settings
