WinMob 6.5 with ActivSync was bliss compared to the inadequacies of HTC Sync on my HTC Desire (Android 2.2). Some of the poor connection problems are resolved by upgrading to the latest HTC Sync ver (3.0.5511) but it still does not sycn mails, often fails to sync photos from the phone onto the laptop, and worst of all does not follow the usual OUTLOOK protocol whereby you can FILE AS "Company (Second Name, First Name)". If you do not remember a guysname in yr records of 3,000-5,000 entries but only remember his Compay it is hard to find it on yr phone because the SEARCH function does not include COMPANY, nor can the FILE AS be ajustd. In fact I am still sorting out the disaster when I first did a sync bec HTC Sync amended all my records (Phone & laptop) so that all records were filed with First name first. that really stumped OUTLOOK when makng a search.

Does anyone know if HTC is going to improve this program or know ofsomething better which is more akin to what ActivSync was able to do with WinMob 6.5?
