At this time, except for the HTC, that many manufacturers is holding wait-and-see attitude. HTC Eris and battery life
The battery life with the Eris is pretty good but I also initially had the problem of it not lasting more than about 6 hours. The problem for me is that I had some programs that would not allow the phone to go into it's power saving sleep mode. These were programs that updated or refreshed often such as the native HTC message app. I use handcent SMS program, have disabled many of the auto refresh options and through trial and error for an hour or so figured out what was keeping the little guy up. From the main menu I go to settings, then to "about phone" and from there I select status. At the bottom of this screen it will show how long the phone has been on since it powered up last, and of that time how much was spent "awake". if it says 100% and the phone has been on all day, you simply have a program that has it locked in full power mode. It's a really easy fix and I'm surprised that there isn't better tech help response.
For the record, I have bluetooth on all the time, I have one screen that has widgets to turn the wireless connections abd gps on and off, I don't need to obsess or really worry about the battery, and I'll usually get between 25-27 hours per charge on the battery it came with, the slim one. This is not unusual, eveyone here complaining of poor battery life can have these same results without effort.
It's not like a sports car, you just need to be smarter than the phone.

New HTC Fuze ROM Released
"o.k...I don't know what either of you are talking about but if you come up for a solution for my Touch Flo issue, let me know! :)" jolylady, Whn you downloaded the ROM and installed to your phone, did you use a computer with the Vista operationg system or does your computer have Windows XP or older? This seems to make a difference, but I am not sure. We need to hear from others to see if this is truly a factor. When I got home today from te office, I did experience the EDGE network automatically connecting after ending a call. So...the steps I mentioned earlier did not help this particular problem. However, I have not experienced any bluetooth issues with my headset today after doing this. That is main reason I wanted to do it. I figured that it may be an HTC software conflict with the bluetooth stack so I wanted to remove any HTC software that was not cooked into the ROM. So far...so good. I have experienced the old issue with the blutooth headset (not hearing the person through the bluetooth headset) since installing the new ROM. I have not experienced it as of yet since removing the HTC software and disabling the TouchFlo from the Today screen.

MOTO milestone review: how to enjoy dvd and video with your mobile pho
Step 3: Click “Convert” button to start conversion. The conversion will be completed in a short time.
Ok, now you have converted your AVI files to MPEG-4 format files which MOTO phone supports and you may use it more convenient. Another I also find Nidesoft DVD Ripper could rip DVD to multimedia phones’ video and music: 3GP, AVI, WMV, MP4, WMA etc. So, it is not a problem to watch your favorite DVD on mobile phone. I think these two Nidesoft software are necessary additional software for mobile phone users. Email, calendar, and contacts The Droid now offers native Microsoft Exchange synchronization out of the box for email, calendar, and contacts, in addition to support for Gmail and POP3 and IMAP accounts. With Android 2.0, you can have messages from various accounts displayed in one unified in-box; messages are color-coded by account so you can visually differentiate them at a glance. Unfortunately (well, depending on your preference), it doesn't appear that you can combine work and personal calendars as you can on the Palm Pre. Instead, you'll find separate apps for your corporate calendar and your personal one.

Tytn II Gone at Last
Why is it that you people think that we care. This is a users forum , not HTC tech . HTC will never even see your rant and we don't care. I love my HTC and think that HTC has successfully made the Kaiser as a compromise to fit all needs, from business to pleasure.
I have an iPhone, I use it to play iTunes, surf the web and play games, oh yeah and I think it makes calls too. Good luck with it , it is a nice piece of fluff, made especially for people like you, whose high point during the day is watching you tube videos and listening to iTunes.
They say that electronics are only as good as the ability of it's stupidest user to use it. I guess this is where HTC failed with you. I have been an Apple/Mac guy for over 25 years , as long as you shut up , bend over, open your wallet and do it Steve's way, you will be a happy camper and if you still have any money at all left in your wallet, don't worry, we have an app for that.

Is You Tube possible on the tilt?
From this page, click on the Home Button - Scroll down to "HTC HOW TO" which takes you to Smart phone "How to Section" the 5th item "View YouTube on window Mobile" . Click on it and you will be taken to what you need to include the HTC Streaming Media Player download. Hope this helps. My at&t Tilt uses window mobile 6.0

Pictures with Text
"Are you talking about MMS ( Multimedia Messaging Service)? That is available on all devices. The only thing you need to be sure of is that you have MMS/SMS plan otherwise, Sprint could charge you per messsage sent/received." Whoa...have a look at the HTC website. When you view the specs on the Mogul, it clearly states that MMS is not supported on this phone...but it is on the Touch. This grates me since I own a Mogul and don't want a touch screen only phone like the Touch.
Go here and click on the Multimedia tab: http://www.america.htc.com/support/mogul/faqs.html
You will see the dreaded declaration: How do I send and MMS from my device? MMS is not supported on this device.
So, if y'all know a way around this, I'd love to know. If I find out, I'll post it.
Cheers,
wordman

WM6.5, Tilt
Since the original question from Trekker1 was asking if the 6.5 upgrade was going to available for the Tilt, I was saying that there will not be an "official" version of WM6.5 that will be designed to work on the Tilt. No question you can take the UI and other parts of 6.5 and graft it into any ROM you choose including a ROM with video drivers that are suitable for the Tilt, but it is not an official version released by ATT, it is a hacked or cooked version. MS says no phone in the market today will be compatible with official versions of 6.5. I don't think that is 100% true, since the Fuze is a Touch Pro, and therefore a member of the Touch Family for which 6.5 was targeted. Perhaps Barium 6.5 will work with the Fuze. My info is the same as yours, TP2 is anticipated to be available in the U.S. in Q3/2009 (July thru September). TP2 will come out with 6.1 and be upgradable to 6.5 when it officially comes out in Q4/2009. I think the May 11 date is a PR Launch and not an actual release of the software.
One thing for sure, if AT&T doesn't get the TP2, I will be looking for one to unlock, or switching to T-Mobile. I have looked at the Nokia n97, but I don't know much about the Symbian OS. I am interested in the new Google phones, but don't know much about Android OS except that it is an open OS based on Linux. Do you know anything about Symbian or Andriod?

Newbee with Kaiser !
"Aha! I knew you were selling memory cards, Rainman76! You offering deals on them yet? :-) -- fizzie, ignore the above. Inside joke between Rainman76 and myself. :-)
It'll be a bit before we get 16 and 32 GB microSD cards. Will probably be using a Kaiser III by then. I really want a HTC 7501 Advantage. Don't need it but think it's seriously cool.
For me, the 4GB microSDHC card I have is fine for now. With all the stuff I have on it (full country GPS maps, PDF manuals of assorted camera gear, pictures and document files...) I'm only using 1.4GB." You caught me on the memory cards!! :-) As for the advantage, I think it's kind of a waste for that price. You can't use it as a phone either, not that I would want to lug that around as a primary phone. I am actually waiting to see how the HTC Shift turns out. It runs both Vista and WM6, though I have read that the battery life is low at 2 hours running Vista.
Besides, I think I would rather get a TabletPC. I am looking at an HP that I used at the DigitalLife Expo in NYC. Very accurate handwriting recognition. Small and light too with a 12.1" screen.
