internet problems with my htc hd2.
im having some internet connection problems with my htc hd2.
everytime i try connecting to the internet i get a message coming up that says;
"cannot connect for an unknown reason. to check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap settings. if the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and try again."
now, ive reset my phone to the original settings and nothing has happened. it just simply will not connect, can anybody help me remedy this problem?

My HTC HD2
My first HTC I sent back because of so internet issues and battery problems. My server called me and talk
me into trying a second HTC so I did, this one works great both on 3gs and wifi. Its is faster than I Phone and so far is as good of unit as my BB9700, which is one of the best smart phones on the market. Be glad to help anyone with problems if any with getting use to the HTC HD2.

MICROSOFT MY PHONE APP ON HTC HD2.
I am having problems with the Premium features of the "MsMyPhone" app on the HTC HD2. All the other features of the app work on the phone, but not the premium ones. When I initiate the test protocall to have the msmyphone service contact my phone, I receive a text message on the phone via sms from Microsoft full of alphanumeric characters. The pc version of msmyphone from where I requested the test takes for ages to contact the phone, only to report, "Your phone cannot be reached at the moment. This might be because the phone is not a supported model, is turned off, has no battery power, is out of range, or your mobile operator is not supported. The features are less likely to succeed when your phone cannot be reached".
Obviously the phone can be contacted as it has received the text message,so something else must be going on inside the Rom that we dont know about. I reported this as an issue directly to HTC several weeks ago, who said they would investigate as a matter of urgency but never got back. A check of internet user groups reveal that loads of other ppl are having the same problems. I havent heard of one person that has been able to successfully use the premium features of msmyphone. These are the track N trace features of the app that allow you to track/trace/lock etc. your phone if it is lost or stolen. I tried to initiate the test protocall for premium features both on the original Rom Version and also on the new one released on 14 Nov 2009.
Same result both times.
I would have thought that as this app is bundled on the Rom, that HTC would have ensured that the app works on the handset before releasing it. In this respect the phone is not fit for purpose, nor the bean counters at HTC who should have ensured it was compatible with the handset. Shame really.

Youtube missing on HTC HD2 on T Mobile
Hi can someone put me out of my misery!
I am going in circles from T Mobile to HTC nobody is giving me a straight answer. Does the Youtube Application come with HTC HD2 if so has it been taken off by T Mobile because i cant find it on the phone anywhere?

Only having the HD2 I'm sorry to say I can't comment on the layout of the HD Mini. What I suggest you do is contact HTC support via email using the link here:

State your problem & they will reply, usually by next day. HTC are very good with support.
As an update for HD2 users - since carrying out the above instructions my time has been perfect :)

Delete an email account from HTC Hero
please guy please i have a strange problem.. i used 2 mail accounts on my htc hd2 and then i made switch account to one of them and its gone.. now i have another one and i cant go to accounts and delete it because when i touch (inbox) it takes me to the account picker like if i doesnt have any account.. but in the mail screen i see that i have a mail.. what the work.. how can i delete it please..

Where can I get an updated official ROM for my HTC Tilt 2
I recently received a tilt 2 and I liked it at first, but the more I use it I am not too impressed. I believe it is because of the ROM that is residing on it. After reading forums I see that there are tons of people that feel the same way. But it is so confusing because it seems there are tons of homemade ROMs out there. I am here because I want an official released updated ROM for my HTC Tilt 2. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

My First Impressions - What do you like about the phone? Don't like?
Glad I found this thread. I started with the HTC mogul and after many problems with that phone was upgraded free to the HTC Pro and now the HTC Pro 2. I have had my phone since December 30, 2009 and I am not happy with it. I have problems with my text messages, random calling, hang ups, internet and on and on. I am trying to give the phone the benefit of the doubt as I really thought this was the end of my HTC phone problems. I am on the sprint network with the unlimited data package and the phone calls to technical support has not helped at all. I have read this entire thread and will try some of the advice that was posted and see if this works, I have a couple days to try to work out these kinks before the offer of getting a new phone goes out the window. First impression has not been a good impression.

Ive had the very same problem. In fact, i've been struggling to view any content online at the moment. I think it's due to the limitations of streaming online over a 3G network.
Regarding the youtue issue, i'm going top raise this with T-mobile this week to get an answer as it's not acceptable really.

Tilt 2 Freezing
"IS IT REALLY THIS ******** AGAIN! Excuse my french but in 08 i bought the mogul from sprint... after 3 weeks i had to leave the back off because it just froze ALL THE TIME! then the touch pro came out and i heard it was unstable...then the touch pro 2/tilt 2. but i reeeeeeeeally want this phone!! fact is tht Win mobile is known to freeze. it's just a fact to accept. So with tht being said i guess ill just skip getting this phone. its sad because it was such a highly anticipated phone... :(" I just got my first Tilt2 a couple of weeks ago. It is a very cool device! The large high resolution screen is even better than I had anticipated. So far I have not had freezing problems. I'm still working to find the best internet browser, since IE and Opera are both pretty slow on my WiFi. My old Tilt really screams on the same WiFi, so this is a device issue. If you need (want) a phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard, this is as good as it gets. If not, the HD2 (aka Leo) is out with T-Mobile and will probably be picked up with other carriers soon. It has a bigger screen, faster processor, and is better all around than the Tilt2, but no hard keyboard. The Nexus One (Android) has a screen like the Tilt2, and no keyboard, but it has speech to text, so you don't have to type text msgs. you just dictate them. So far, Android doesn't sync to Outlook, so if you use Outlook, the HD2 is probably a better choice.

as we all no that gps is not working in egypt so 1st how can we activate the gps on htc taytn 2

There is not risk for the TaytnII
The only way to make your gps to work it is to change the official rom and to put a cooked English rom.
I dont thing that will work if you pass the official europian rom but you can try it. This salution has no any risk.
For the cooked rom, you must unlock first your device with hard spl. After that you will flash the cooked rom and your TaytnII will be like the europian vercion with gps to work.
The only problem will be if you need to use the Egyptian service of HTC.
To do this you have to come back at your old spl and to flash again the official Egyptian rom.
How you will make all these?
