Active Sync Issue
I made a mistake, YES I'm admitting to it, now I need the "Pro's" help!!
I used sprite backup to restore my phone, but something happened in the restore process that my phone is not recognized by the computer. When I plug it in to the USB I get the error message, "USB Device Not Recognized." I cannot establish an Active Sync Connection as well so I can just reload my ROM and be done. Can anyone help with this?? I have tried other ports, uninstalled Windows Mobile Software, all the general troubleshooting has been done to no avail! Also, the computer is running Vista.

How 2 turn off text tone while on a call, snooze, & loudness during cl
Okay~ well I have just had my phone for about a month.. and there are a few things I can't figure out... Like~
1. while I am on a call, and recieve a text during that call...the text notification still rings through~ very annoying and I can't figure out how to make it not notify me while I am on the call. 2. Is there a way to set a "snooze" on the alarms? 3. When I am on a call... the sound quality SUCKS! I can barely hear the person on the other end (and it is ALL the way up) I have to keep the headphones in at all times to even be able to hear the caller... is there a way to fix that? Thanks :)

HTC Touc Pro Camera has been disabled for security reason
i have encountered this problem after synchronizing my HTC touch pro to our exchange server thru activesync (wifi).
On the active sync, after completing all the necessary exchange account credentials and clicking finish, a popup window appears stating "Exchange Server mail.example.com must enforce security policies on your device to continues synchronizing. Do you want to continue?" I need to select Ok in order for it to start synchronizing, otherwise synchronization will not start.
After the successful synchronization, I tried to use the Camera or Video then an pop up message appears " Camera has been disable for security reason" meaning I cannot use the camera. Is there any workaround to resolve this issue.
Would appreciate all your replies and suggestions.
Thanks.

Bluetooth Issues
Has anyone had any problems using Bluetooth?
The Touch pro seems to work OK with my headset but when I try to partner with my desktop I can't get it to do an active sync using Bluetooth. I also have not been able to transfer files using Bluetooth between my computer and the Touch Pro. The computer only found three profiles for the Pro: PIM for beaming business cards, a network connection point, and a speaker profile which allows me to send the phone audio to the computer speakers. In the connections page (seetings>Connections>Bluetooth>Profiles there are numerous profiles listed but only three are being recognized by my computer and none of these are all too useful.
I am using a Belkin F8T012-1 Bluetooth dongle which is B.T. Version 2.0+EDR and it is a class 1 device.

HTC TyTN II Upgrade problem to WM6.1 (Active Sync)
I have also an WM6.1 problem related to the upgrade on my TyTN II (and some other within our corporation). Great idea for the Microsoft WM team to do the messaging options like an IM client, functionality upgrades, SCCM managibility and whatnot, but the major problem starts with Active Sync...
Servers: Microsoft Exchange 2007 x64 (SP1) - SSL/OWA/etc enabled. Windows 2003 Enterprise Server R2 x64 PCs: Windows XP SP2, Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista Ent (x86 & x64) SP1
When syncing the device (TyTN II) to retrieve or send compiled mails, the device seem to pop up with a blank screen (generated by Active Sync), with the actual syncing process trying to take place behind this window. Pressing the "OK" button takes the window away, and then the nice error message appears "attention required" - you have stopped active sync... This is most irratating as the sync does not take place successfully. This also results that the email messages situated in the "Drafts" folder are sent, yet does not move to "Sent", replicating the message almost every 5min to the destined user...
This problem never existed with the WM6 release, yet doing the upgrade to WM6.1 and reverting back to WM6 left this problem intact that it keeps on occuring...

ActiveSync and Outlook
Hi,
I have a HTC TyTN ll and I am having problems synchronising my work email.
The server at work has exchange 2003 SP2 and Activesync. We also have both OWA and OMA and I can access these succesfully through the PDA.
The OWA/OMA both use SSL and have a instantssl certificate installed which I have downloaded and installed onto my device.
My credentials are correct, I have recreated the data source and resetted device but..
During snychronisation on the PDA I get the following error:
"ActiveSync encountered a problem on the server" Support Code: 0x85010014.
Following a google I found that this is as a result of having the SSL port 443 defined in IIS for the webmail site. Now if I remove this port I get the message "waiting for network". I have read this is temporary, but I have tried for the past few days and it still doesnt get past this stage. I am using our wireless and the GPRS as provided by orange to connect.
Also removing the port 443 has concequences on anyone else accessing the OWA as it does not work.
Do any of you guys know any ideas on how I can get the PDA to synchronise?
Many Thanks in Advance :)

Active Sync does not get *.ICS created appointments
It appears that active sync does not get all appointments created by *.ics file.
When downloading a calendar appoitment from an application as an *.ics file outlook reads the appointent just fine, but active sync gets confused with the UID not being unique and the appointment does not synch up to the WM6 device.
This would seem to be an issue for Microsoft, but I have not been able to get anybody to open a case on this.
Any suggestions?
