i have a new htc tp2 from uscellular ..I was experiencing the same exact issue the guy in service said was a software glitch he sent me a patch i downloaded it and walaa fixed.. give that a try

sd memory card from droid to HTCP2? help...........
ok, so i just got the new htc pro touch 2 from verizon, i previously had the droid. i was informed that i can use the sd card from my droid on to the new phone. i exported my contacts onto the card, and when i insert the card in the HTCP2 it doesnt read it, and how can i get to the storage of the sd card from the menus?

No Problems NOW!
I have had no problems with my TP 2, infact it's what you make of it! All windows based OS need to be customized to be right. I installed SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 and now I can slide my screen to the side with 5 different pages, what ever widget I want on any page, My phone is easier than the Iphone I messed with. This phone is all me now, what I want with apps where I want them, thanks to customizing I made it that way.

Putting battery indicator "on top"
Is there a way to put the indicator for the battery charge in an easily viewable place on the HTC TP2? Currently, I drill down -- first to settings, then to All Settings then to System [settings] then to Power. Is there a way to skip some of these steps?

how do i add photos and such from my memory card onto my phone? the momory card is inserted. and the only way i can see it is if i go to file manager. not in photo albums or anything else. can anyone help me?

Text Msg Notification on HTC Sense Home page.
I am showing that I have 1 inbox msg on the text notification bubble. Am I able to clear this somehow with out reseting the phone back to its original settings. (the little green bubble shows 1 msg all the time)
There is a Sprint fix, but will this fix the US Cellular supported phone??

No Contact Picture Sprint Touch Pro2
Anyone else having this problem? I have added of some of my contacts in the contact list. But those pictures seem to be used haphazardly with other functions. I see the pics in my contact list but when I make or receive a call I from a friend with a contact picture, no picture is displayed in the caller ID. The pics are displayed in the upper corner of emails, but not texts (just the generic gender silhouette).
According to the manual, by assigning a photo to a contact, that photo should be displayed during calls and texts and emails. But I only get the silhouette for calls and texts. It's frustrating and I can't figure out what the issue is.
Any ideas?

How can I set my TP2 to take a specific action on (Restricted) calls ?
I can't seem to apply a specific ringtone to a (Restricted) call. Or even better, not hav the phone ring and just send directly to voicemail. Appears the other carriers (T-Mobile and Spring) can do this via their networks and Verizon can't (they even say so on the WEB set).

windows 6.5
Has anyone really tried the new 6.5 that just came out? I tried to load it on my verizon touch pro 2 and with no luck? I got the download from PCB...downloaded it on my laptop but couldn't start the update to the phone, I am sure its me. Called verizon they said it is not posted on there site and dont reconize the the update??

Please, please, provide upgrade to WinMoPro 6.5
I disabled TouchFlo 3D for performance and usage reasons, I am a business user and 6.5 has to be a little easier to use. The home page improvement alone would be worth it. Why should I have to pay $30 for SPB Mobile Shell? Is there a way to just get the 6.5 upgrade. Is there a free shell out there. I just laid out $200 on this thing. HTC, please provide the upgrade, soon!

Editing TP2 Home Page Icons
I don't get it. I'm guessing this is a HTC touch flo 2 software issue and not a VZ and I'm hoping I've missed something. I understand how to "customize tabs" throught the "settings" but what I dont get about touch flo is the fact that there is no tab called "Contacts". (nor can you add any)
The only way I've figured to get there the quickest way is to hit favs, then all contacts, then search. That's 2 extra keystrokes.... ARRRRGGHHHH.
Even if the home page tabs are certain why wouldnt they have "contacts"? You'd think someone might need that!
Better yet, am I missing something???? thx

How to set the "My Favorite" button.
I read the "Getting Started" about how to set the "My Button" (start->settings->My button). I end up at a WinMO6.1 screen I think, but its got 7 items (Send key, button, button, button, button, button, Favorite) in there and I get a complaint that says
"Each program button must have a unique button assignment. Please select a different button assignment".
I have not idea which "buttons" those are. The phone itself does have 7 buttons but I'm not sure if that's what is being referred to. How can I set the green star button to launch my custom app?

How to change 'Camera' button on Touch Flo3D Home Screen
I hope I'm not the only one experiencing this annoyance, but has anyone located the setting or method on changing the 'Camera' button on the home screen? I'd really like to change it to something else.
I accidentally tap that button ALL THE TIME (at least 3-5 times daily) and it is really getting on my nerves. Plus, there's already a camera/recorder tab we use to activate the camera.
Can someone help? This is getting really really annoying....

Have tried to delete email account and I go to accounts then accounts again and the delete is grayed out. can't figure it out at all. Another ? if i do a hard reset can i go to my pc and get my pict. back and address. Please help

Sometimes my phone seems to go into permanent mute mode even though the mute indicator is off. Anyone see this? Know how to fix it? I can only recover be removing the battery.

I recently got a Touch Pro 2 through US Cellular and am trying to access a website but it always comes up with a message of "Sorry, mobile phone connect only". I think my issue is not having java enabled or installed on my phone. Does anyone know how to install java on windows mobile 6.5 phone?

HTC TP2, Pocket Informant, Windows Mobile, Start->All Applications
Hi perhaps one of your gurus can help me. I recently installed pocket informant on my TP2. To launch it, I need to go start, then select all applications, and scroll to find it. Pocket informant seems to have added close to 20 or more "apps" now. so the "all applications" list just doubled or tripled in length. Is there a way to have that "all applications" list be folder based? its not fun using about 5 or 6 finger scrolls to get to the bottom of the list for the other apps I want to launch.

Is Microsoft Voice Command required to perform Bluetooth Voice dialing? I.E can I push a button a bluetooth headset or handsfree device and tell the phone to dial a number? Or is Microsoft Voice Command required?
