Unlocking HTC 8525 for use with other GSM Carriers in India
Can any body share information how I should go about unlocking HTC 8525 for use in India. I got this HTC from USA. Appreciate quick response. Thanks

Front panel button problem
Hi,
Recently my Tytn's front panel has become very unreliable. The buttons don't always light up. Often when they do, the lights dont switch off why the phone is back in standby. If it is doing this, the buttons do not respond to being pressed.
I have dismantled the phone and pushed all the ribbon cable plugs in - they all seemed ok.
The problem doesnt seem to change with sliding the keyboard open or closed.
I have tried flashing from WM 6 to WM 6.1 which hasnt helped.
Any ideas?

ATT 8525 Charging but won't connect to ActiveSync
I have been through and THROUGH these forums and tried everything (unchecking boxes, updates, hard reset, uninstalling, new cords, etc.) and I get the SAME problem.
My ATT 8525 is charging just fine - but Active Sync WILL NOT CONNECT.
Please help!

changing touch interface on 8525
Hey everyone, I have been seeing, all over the net, the AT&T 8525 with the touchflo interface or at least close to. I am wanting to put this on my phone but first I have a few questions...Is the change of interface permanent? will I lose anything as far as applications or funcionality with the installment? Will I still be able to use the slide out QWERTY(in all the vids I've seen of the interface, NOONE was using the slide out QWERTY)? I Currently have a AT&T 8525 running WM6

Battery
Has anyone had any luck purchasing a new battery for the Att 8525. I was in Los Angeles on Sunday and had no luck finding one ( I figured no big deal i'd surely find one in NY ) Ny on monday and no luck at any of the retailers. I was told by an ATT rep there to try the HTC site ...I havent had any luck . My phone barely holds a charge and I don't feel its right for me to have to part with my beloved PDA because retailers aren't carrying batteries. Any options ? Thanks in advance.

Problem opening SMS and email messages
Im using the Official HTC WWE WM6 ROM 3.54 on my Tytn. After the upgrade, i ran into a small annoyance. when I open emails or SMS messages, they open fine, but at the bottom of the message. they have automatically scrolled to the bottom. I can scroll back up without problem. its just when I open the message.
Any ideas how to resolve it?

I exchanged a defective 8525 with Windows Mobile 6 that I installed, but I don't remember how I did it, and can't find the instructions to install the cab file that I have on my hard drive

Losing pop3 Email
When I do a manual send/receive for my pop3 email account sometimes my att 8525 downloads the emails and as soon they appear on my device they disappear, I can't find them anywhere, they are just gone. When it does keep them on my device the next time I do a send/receive,all email in my inbox disappears, whether read or unread. I have created an additional folder under that account, I called it "saved", that I have to put important email in, when I actually get it, it does not disappear from the "saved" folder. Any ideas? Is this normal?

8525 Help
Ok im about to get this phone used because i want a replacement, i will be unlocking this phone for TMobile, i was wondering is there a way i can set the settings for wifi where only AIM and internet stuff will use that instead of it using my service plan and charging me when there is no wifi? i want to recieve calls and use wifi at the same time but i dont want to be charged for any usage except for minutes

WM6 Update
Does anybody have or know where to get the WM6 update for the 8525? They stopped releasing it in Feb. but I replaced the motherboard in my phone and I don't have a copy of the update.

at&t 8525 switching service
I recently switched from att to unicel my phone features work well but i cannot get online except thru wifi, does anyone know the proper configuration or did att lock the internet access. unicel is lost on what to do. I need this phone because of ir output.....

8525 Hotmail on WIndows Mobile 6
I recently upgrated my Cingular/att 8525 from Windows Mobile 5 to Windows Mobile 6.
I had Pocket MSN on WM5 and there was a nice icon to get my hotmail email and
even upload and download attachments. Now, on wm6, it looks like Pocket MSN is not
available, instead there is mobile.live.com, but I have to go to Internet Explorer and type
in the url which brings up a menu where I can select Hotmail. It's not as nice as
Pocket MSN in my opinion. Also, if I just checked Yahoo mail and then try to go to Hotmail,
nothing comes up on Hotmail...I have to reset the phone to get it to come in. That was also
the case in wm5, that's why I'd always check my hotmail first, then yahoo mail.
Anyone know of a neat way to be able to select from my two mail providers from the
wm6 desktop, without having to go through Internet Explorer? It doesn't look like I
can to that from Outlook from what I see? Thanks for any ideas you have. Larry

buttons don't work
quite suddenly and without being dropped or anything the buttons and touch-screen only work intermittently making the phone unusable. has something become dislodged inside? I have tried installing a fresh os.

Stylus falls out
I keep losing the stylus for my 8525. It seated properly for a long time, now it seems to not stay in the holder. Anyone else have this problem and any suggestions on correcting it. I hate using a pen as a stylus and I can't get any sympathy from ATT.

Hi. I have spent months trying various VC replacement files and cabs with no success of getting VC to announce calles to various BT ear pieces.
Does anyone have a working set of files to enable VC to announce calles to BT earpieces?
