unlock code anyone?

anybody have the unlock code for this phone yet? Just got min today and want to use w/ AT&T.

Just got min today and want to use w/ AT&T."u can use it on AT&T becasue they use the same 2g spectum but 3g is another story u can use there 3g it on a different frequency so u would be stuck with high speed edge anyway g1s date plans are unlimited who would want to pay more oh yeah you do 2 out of 2 found this valuable. There are companies that will unlock your phone for you for a fee. Or there are hacks you can apply to your phone that will void your warranty and carrier contract , that will also unlock your phone. Most carriers , if you are a customer in good standing and if you are traveling outside the country, will provide you with an unlock code to use your phone with a foreign provider while you are away. I doubt that they will facilitate you changing providers. Do you find this valuable? |

It is my understanding that by law and applicable FCC statutes, the company have to provide an unlock code for the phone if you meet certain criteria. They can also charge a fee, but I belive the fee cannot exceed the actual cost of unlocking the phone. I do not remember where I read this, but I am almost certain it applies. I also remember reading a cavet about the Iphone and how they were able to skirt this process...which I believe had something to do with the third part contract that is imparted by Apple.

There are many online sites that will provide the code for a fee using the imei number. Every phone has an unlock code, these sites buy ( or acquire the data base ) and then charge for the code. Your carrier also has the code and will provide it to you upon completion of your contract. Or if you are a customer in good standing and can provide them with a compelling reason for wanting the code, they may provide you with it. Do you find this valuable? |
