HTC Touch Pro Music Player
Dec 11 2008, 11:47 PM EST
I'm having a problem with the TouchFlow 3D music player on the Touch Pro from Sprint. I have all my music on my storage card and it's fantastic - I love the TouchFlow 3D music player itself, however, there appears to be no order for album music tracks. In Media Player on my PC and on the Phone is shows the name with the track number in front of it but once I'm in TouchFlow mode the CD order is gone. It's really frustrating because some of my music is stories or requires the actual CD order to be played, but, I apparently can't do that in TouchFlow. Any ideas on this?

"hi,how did you get your songs to get onto the tf3d screen,I have my songs on thestorage card also but cant find them on the tf3d screen"Yeah it has a weird issue with that. I had to restart my phone and then little by little it will recognize them all. It doesn't take too long though. However, I did have one album on my storage card that touchflow3d refused to recognize, no matter how many times I added the songs. Would play fine through WMP but now touchFlow. I'll tell you this, there's been more times recently I've wanted to throw the thing across the room! There are a LOT of bugs and a good many crashes. Especially in mail and Opera. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Try adding the albums in playlists to listen to the tracks in your order of preference. Playlists may also be created and edited via the TouchFlow 3D Library.

Once I figured out how to get the album art to display in the Touch Flo screen, I have had no problems with the music player. I used Windows Media Player on my PC to rip CDs into folders as it wishes, i.e., I did not alter the artist-->album folders that it creates in My Documents-->My Music. I then created regular (not auto) playlists in WMP. On the Sync tab-->Storage Card-->Set Up Sync, I then added playlists simply consisting of albums or combinations of songs in playlists with my own titles.Hope that helps; sorry if I don't understand your problem. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Hi Guys, I also have a problem with my msuic player. I have put all of my songs on the storage card and th music tab via the touch3d interface doesnt show any of the music and there doesnt seem to be anyway to add them in. Also I had a few mp3 files in the music direcotry on the phone (the folder where the preinstalled music sits) I removed them from there once I got my SD Card, now it just shows black images with a "!" mark on and I cant get rid of them! any hlp guys? I tried restarting but it didnt work. Do you find this valuable? |

once you go to the music tab, click the library button in the bottom left hand corner....this will take you to all of the sprint music store downloads, mp3s, and wmas you have on the device or the card. Hope this helps.

Found a solution for you...you will need a registry editor for your HTC Touch Pro. I recommend the PHM registry editor (google it). Locate the following key. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCAlbum\Ignored and modify the key Music Gizmo1 to the path you want the music file to be stored. I created a folder on the SD card named MUSIC and updated the path to \Storage Card\Music then rebooted the phone and all is well. Now I can turn off my phone, pop in the SD card and copy all my tunes over and bam.. I have all my songs at my finger tips. I hope this helps 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thanks a lot! I did it and the HTC recognized my music directory immediately without even having to reboot. This was "spot on." Blessings!

Mine found the SD card music automatically in TF3D. With my stereo BT headset I start/stop/control music PB w/Rt earbud button and calls w/Lt button. Neat, works great (BT stereo is Plantronics Backbeat 906).
