i am a new user for the HTC and the window mobile system, how do i transfer the SMS message from my old Nokia phone to my new HTC phone?? i have try to drag it and put into the folder that in HTC phone but it wont open and the file name is .vmg!!

The #1 Post above has details on SMS Backup. It allows you to backup SMS from a Windows Mobile phone to a PC and if necessary restore the SMS messages from the PC to the WM phone or any new WM phone. I don't know how to get the SMS messages on the Nokia phone transferred to the PC. Do you have a sync relationship between the Nokia and a PC? If so, I would transfer the SMS to the PC and contact tech support at iMobile Tool (who wrote SMS Backup) and see if they can tell you how to convert the .vmg file to a format that is compatible with their SMS Backup Software. If they can't help, try Nokia tech support to see if they can help you get the SMS from the old Nokia to the PC, then look at format conversion and SMS Backup. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Hi,
I'm having some trouble with the Restore function on the program. It will find the file that needs to be restored for my Contact list, but not for my SMS messages, and it won't actually work for either one. It keeps giving me the message "This file cannot be used." Can anyone help?
