Can i upgrade Windows Mobile 6.0 to Windows Mobile 6.5 in HTC p3400i, if yes then how?
Is there any Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM available for New Gene?

No, there is not an official WM 6.5 release for the p3400i nor does ii appear there will be 21  out of 23 found this valuable. Do you?

I do not know your HTC, but I just updated to my HTC Snap to 6.5 from the www.HTC.uk .... perhaps you will find update for you phone up there ... Ciao! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi, I don't know if its just my phone, but I managed to update my TyTN from WM5 to WM6 many months ago. I then attempted to install WM6.5 Ha! Ha! You say, but I thought I had completely ruined my phone. but after 2 resets its been working fine! 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi,
I found it all on XDA Develpoer.com. You will have to go to the page where it lists all the types of phones and look for yours, or, just use the search box for it on the XDA website. When you have found it, just follow the instructions. It took me a bit of time to do, but it can be done. HTC told me I could not put WM6.5 on my phone but I managed to do it. Everything is fine. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

The rom is an unofficial rom written by a member of XDA, Your phone will have to be unlocked from HTC with a third party hack, and then reflashed with a " cooked " rom. While the chance is slight, the danger of permanently bricking your device is there. Doing this will void any warranty you may have from HTC or your provider.

That is why HTC said it could not be done, they are not about to recommend that people start hacking their devices and downloading hacked software from the internet. But as BGB said, it can be done and " Everything is fine " 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

denco7 is right about it being a risk when downloading any ROM from XDA Developers. HTC told me that it could not be done on my TyTN as it was an "old" type, but I had lost the warranty by having to unscrew the phone because a stylus was stuck inside.(the warranty had expired anyway). I was saving up for a new model but thought I would give it a try at downloading both ROMs.
It is my own SIM free unlocked phone and I was concerned of damaging the phone, but it was a risk I took. It is up to you whether you want to try it.
My TyTN works fine now. I use Skyfire Internet & IE. I can go on SkySports & BBCiplayer. The emails & MMS work faster than before but the only problem I have is the duration of the battery. You may find yourself recharging every 2nd day or every day but I've found there's a solution to that but I've not tried it yet. That is, you can buy an extended battery but you get a new back cover as well. The result being that your phone looks bulky than before.

Remember it is a risk you take but I wish you well and hope you will tellus how you get on.

No, you can't upgrade WM 6.0 to WM 6.1. Those using WM 6.1 can upgrade to WM 6.5.

Have not seen anything that gives info on the HTC Tilt. Is the upgrade possible? If it is, where can I find it? 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Hi and Well Done!! I knew it could be done as I did it to my simple TytN. A few months ago I was thinking of getting a new updated phone but I don't need to now. At least for another couple of years!

I hope you enjoy it as I do my phone! Do you find this valuable?

Yes it is possible to upgrade the Tilt to WM6.5 using a cooked ROM. denco7 has been running 6.5 on his Tilt for 6 months or more. Read his posts on this thread and follow the links to XDA-Developers.com. That is the site that has the cooked ROMs and detailed instructions on SIM and CID unlocking your device in order to load a cooked ROM. denco7 is the expert on this.
