"I recently bought a new iPhone 3Gs and want to transfer all my windows mobile contacts to the new iPhone. I have so many contacts on my windows mobile phone and don't want to have to type them each into the iPhone. Is there a way to backup and transfer all my windows mobile contacts to iPhone diretly?" - John

Yes, iPhone can sync Outlook contacts with iTunes. So you can backup your windows mobile contacts into Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail for Vista users first, then sync them to your new iPhone using iTunes.

Tools you'll need:
1. Contacts Backup Software to transfer contactsto Outlook or Outlook Express.
2. ActiveSync to copy the contacts backup file to computer.
3. iTunes loaded on your computer (free from Apple) to sync contacts to iPhone.

Here is the step-by-step guide for you to transfer contacts between windows mobile phone and iPhone:
Step 1: Backup windows mobile contact to CTS file and transfer to computer.(using a 3rd party software,such as Godswmobile contacts v2.0)
Step 2: Import the CTS file to GodswMobile Contacts Transfer Manager.
Step 3: Export contact as csv file on the GodswMobile Contacts Transfer Manager.
Step4: Select a file location, and choose the config file name as “Outlook”, then click “Export” to export contact as outlook csv file.
Step 5: Import the csv file you just exported to outlook.
Step 6: Sync Outlook contacts to iPhone with iTunes.

download an app called "vcard expert" onto your windows mobile phone. save the contacts as a single vcard file and email to your account as an attachment or transfer to your pc. Open this file on your iphone and it will automatically import the contacts into your address book. 12  out of 20 found this valuable. Do you?

here is the simplest method without any need for a new app installed.
requirement - u must have a google account.
steps
1.open the active sync in ur windows mobile
2 create a new configure / sync account with m.google.com as server and ur google id and password as username and password.
3.click sync

now open ur iphone or ipad, open settings , go to mails and contacts, in the option add a new account , click microsoft exchange, give the same as described above as username and pass word. finished, when u click the push option on ur idevice on, sync happens automatically.
