Sprite Backup restore problem on HTC Touch Pro 2
May 5 2010, 12:06 PM EDT | Post edited: May 5 2010, 12:09 PM EDT
HTC Touch Pro 2 (T-mobile). Backed-up ( Sprite Backup) before upgrading from WM 6.1 to 6.5 Got the backup.exe file ( 3.37 GB ) in the PC. After WM upgrade, re-installed Sprite in device. Started Sprite Back-up Manager ( PC ) and ran restore. I observed the device comunicating with PC: "Operation Start Confirmation", "Loading Backup.exe", Choose Data Migration Method" ( Merge Level 2 ), At this point device's screen goes to home page and Backup Manager shows "restore in progress" with a message: "please wait while the device prepares to reset". I left it there overnight and nothing had changed.
Please help! Tks, Wes

Windows XP
Windows Firewall OFF
WM 6.5
Sprite Backup 6.5.5.1

I just saw your post. You have probably solved this problem, but if not, try Spb Backup. I use Sprite and Spb as backup programs, but find Spb to be better, especially when migrating cross version of the OS. I upgraded from 61 to 6.5 with Spb Backup and it worked flawlessly.
