evo calendar

Once an event is created in the calendar on the phone, I have not been able to copy the event to a different day or days. I don't want to use the repeat function because the events aren't sequential. Is there a way to copy and paste in the calendar?

Try tap and hold on the message you are trying to copy. It may pop up a menu with a select/copy option. Some versions do and some don't. This issue is resolved in 2.2 Froyo of Android OS. If you are syncing to Outlook, the other solution is to create a recurring event within Outlook and then sync to the EVO with HTC Sync - not an elegant solution, but it works. This concerns calendar entries, not messages. I have 2.2 and the calendar app does not seem to have the functionality of randomly duplicating a calendar entry, unless it occurs in some specifically allowed repetitive format.

If you keep your calendar in Outlook on your PC and sync with Pocket Outlook on the phone using HTC Sync, you can create a recurring calendar event within Outlook on your PC. This allows you to duplicate a calendar entry every day for x number of days, or on a particular day of the week for x number of weeks, etc. When you have entered the events into the Outlook calendar on the PC, you can sync the phone to the PC and those calendar entries will be duplicated on the calendar of the phone. I hear that the calendar entry duplication is handled in Android 2.2, but I am currenly using an Aria with 2.1 (2.2 hasn't been released yet for the Aria) so I can't give you first hand information on 2.2.
